I've got a couple white whales on my wantlist, a George Gipp signed photo and an immaculate Ty Cobb single signed baseball from his playing days with bold stampings on an OAL ball.

I got two. A signed 1957 Clemente and the other is a signed Earl Averill Zeenut / PCL postcard. In the non HOF white whale category it would be a M116 Harry T Smith (distant relative)

While it's great to see the cool items people have obtained, I think, by definition, a white whale is something you are obsessed with that is unobtainable. If you got it, it is not a white whale.

That would probably suffice. When I worked for Notre Dame's Sports Information Department as a student worker in the early 90's, I got to go through a ton of old stuff they had stored away.
