I'm sure it counts for something !!! One of them looks like Carey must have been collecting them !!! Imagine that. You could potentially be owning a T206 by Carey or Street.

This is what I'm getting at !!! Thanks for posting this !!!

I see a couple HOFers no Wagner ahhaha.

Default Not the right era, but Joe Garagiola had quite a T206 collection at one time

Don't know if it is still in his possession or not, but there was an article in Vintage and Classic Baseball Collector I believe, where he talked about spreading them out, and just looking at them for hours.

Any baseball players in particular work for this thread. I'm just interested. Even modern players (though I doubt it).

Still curious about of that era though.

Actually, there are several modern/current players who actively collect - ranging from tobacco cards all the up to the modern stuff. Not sure how many really care about their own cards, but a few are into collecting in general.

I won't out them here because some of them don't want to make a big deal about it publicly, but several current guys are very much into it.

Are they members here lol ??? It'd be interesting to know who gives a hoot about collecting T206s.

That's not a T206. That is someone named Schaffer, from a different set.

That's okay, I couldn't identify the set anyway.

I remember hearing that Joe Nossek (an outfielder for the Twins in the 1960s) collected cards of himself. I remember because when I collected the 1965 Topps set I got 597 of 598 cards in PSA 9. His was the card I could never find. It took me five years, but I did finally find one.

Default Josh--

Back in 2009 I bought a T206 collection of 130-plus cards that were bought & collected back in the day by a Minor Lg pitcher named Roy Mellinger.

You might be interested in this thread I posted at the time telling a little bit about them.
