Rapid Robert, the Heater from Van Meter. What a career, and he also served four years in the Navy during World War II. He became one of the premier ambassadors for the game. Glad I had the opportunity to see him a few times doing public appearances, signing for free and having fun with fans. Those experiences definitely increased my desire to learn more about baseball history.

I have always been fascinated by Feller's story. As a result I have a lot of Feller crap. These items are among my favorites
