I all depends on the situation. if the card is Auth because it's banged to hell, then the value drops appreciably below a numerical grade. If it's Auth because it's a scrap, the price goes through the roof.
A card can also look perfect and just have the slightest trim. In that case, a lot of people will still pay more than they would for a card that's graded anywhere 3 or below. Rarity of the back also comes into play. If the card is auth because of writing all over the front, but displays a perfect Uzit back, that would still command a good premium.
