Interested on what you guys use for grading T206's
I use t206.org but more specifically was wondering about how you identify the grade of AUTHENTIC.
T206.org doesn't list values for AUTHENTIC grades. So do you cut in half in quarter the price of a PSA 1 or a SGC 10 ? I only have a couple Authetnics but was just curious what you guys do or consider the value differentiation between a 1 and Authentic. |
I all depends on the situation. if the card is Auth because it's banged to hell, then the value drops appreciably below a numerical grade. If it's Auth because it's a scrap, the price goes through the roof.
A card can also look perfect and just have the slightest trim. In that case, a lot of people will still pay more than they would for a card that's graded anywhere 3 or below. Rarity of the back also comes into play. If the card is auth because of writing all over the front, but displays a perfect Uzit back, that would still command a good premium. |
Authentic due to trimming and rounded corners has a semi-rarer back (Old Mill). A PSA 1 goes for about $57, but I also believe it is a rare common Chase w/trophy.

You just have to watch the Market. Ive paid $10 for cards Graded A. I've paid $30. Not to simplify it but whatever you are willing to pay for it, based on what you have seen before.

Trophy
You got my old Chase Trophy card! haha.
It's a pretty decent looking card, but definitely trimmed..... |
Yes I did I think it was a fair deal. I like that Chase card throw in that it has a rarer back. And for 5 t205's that I had no connection to as my focus is t206 I like the deal between Luke and I.
