I've never submitted nor know the costs, but perhaps it's a cost versus return issue. People may consider it less worth the submission cost on lower valued cards if you might end up getting a 5. A Koufax or Clemente RC in a 5 is worth good money, but perhaps a lower grade Aparicio might as well be raw for resale.
Just a thought from someone who's no expert on the graded cards. I have no idea what a Alson or Aparicio in 6 sells for, but have overheard people say that many mid grade 1950s cards sell for about the same ungraded as graded. Last edited by drcy; 02-03-2015 at 11:44 AM. |
