Love Davidson's mustache pre Rollie Fingers. Piccolo looked like a bad ass and those 51's are in great shape.

Larry I don't recall where I got all three Browns. I do remember most dealers practically gave football cards away.

ks - I remember a particular card dealer back in SoCal, probably early 80's, who didn't deal with football, only baseball. He would, however, get quite a lot of football in collections he bought. When he accumulated enough he would just load it up into shoe boxes and sell them by the box full, regardless of year. There's no telling what treasures were in those boxes. Too bad I wasn't collecting football at that time.

Great stuff, guys! Lots of great football out to discover if you haven't yet wandered far from Topps, Bowman, etc. Here are examples of some hard to complete sets. How many can you name?

From the 1920's

From the 1930's

From the 1940's

From the 1950's

From the 1960's

From the 1970's

From the 1920's no clue
From the 1930's Wheaties?
From the 1940's no clue
From the 1950's I see Remars bread talked about on the non sports side so this is a guess included with a loaf of Remars bread?
no clue for any of the cards from the '60s or '70s

JP - Those are fabulous! I love oddball and regional issues, although I have very few

Here is another, probably more commonly seen, cereal issue. I recently found the Norm Standlee card to finish the football set of 5 (minus the reverse negative Trippi).

1) Looks like a post-card issue of some type. Got me!
2) 1935 Wheaties Fancy Frames Ernie Nevers
3) 1948-50 Safe-T-Card (Redskins) Slingin' Sammy Baugh
4) 1950-51 Bread for Energy/Bread for Health Labels Otto Graham
(Those are TOUGH!)
5) 1963 Fairmont Dairy (Chiefs) Len Dawson
(Been looking for one of those; BRUTALLY tough!)
6) 1966 or 1967 Williams Portraits Paul Hornung.
(I'm going to guess it's the '66 when they did just Packers)
7) 1966 Royal Castle (Dolphins) Howard Twilley
8) ??? Alex Karras. HELP!!!!
I have one on the large Tasco prints of former Lion Wayne Rasmussen
(who is my neighbor and his grandson and my son are friends,
teammates, etc. at the same school) and the artwork is very similar, but
this looks like a bookmark or something. You got me!
9) 1970 Carlson-Frink Dairy (Broncos) Coaches Whitey Dovell
(I've never seen one - looking for Rutigliano)

Very good guesses, Ty! You hit all of the ones you took a shot at. I don't have the color Carlson-Frink of Rutigliano that came from a dairy carton but do have the premium. The color one would look similar.

Fred those are some very nice looking 1950 Bowmans. I actually purchased my first 50's Bowman from you a while back (C. Trippi). I have been looking at both the Tittle and Otto Graham and as soon as I find the right one I am going to make purchase. I have been on Quarterback buying frenzy lately. Here is my latest.
