My understanding is that 1928 Flo-joy cards were not made in color.

I just got an uncut sheet on eBay. Probably not authentic, but the seller is giving a full refund if it's not real. So I figure it's worth learning about the set, in case I got a steal.

Uncut color Flo-Joy sheets are real 1970s reprints. What's to learn? A steal is more than likely in the opposite direction.

PSA also won't grade exhibit boxing cards. Too bad; some of the boxer registry listings are laughably incomplete.

The one I purchased is black and white. I will take it to an appraiser or card store nearby to see if they've had any come through before.

there are numerous types of fro joy fakes...some colored...some not. i was duped while in college in late 80's into buying a fake non color sheet. the color of the stock is usually pretty obvious giveaway. the real ones are a creamy ivory...more white...whereas the fakes look yellower...artificially aged.

Default Buying a fro joy sheet

Unseen. You have about as much chance of buying a used lottery ticket that's a winner. It's not something to waste your time on with the overwhelming number of counterfeits of this particular issue.

Baseball Exhibits next? Are boxing and football just too easily reprinted?
