I started building my set over twenty years ago with the intention of getting every card in Excellent condition or better. Turned out to be much harder than I figured at the time! At this point I have all but two(?) cards (Matty Cycle & Collins yellow) (I also need Walsh - pink - if more than one exists...) Breakdown is 60% excellent or better, 30% very good and 10% lesser. I also have every back as well as some oddities.
I'll never catch Joshua but I love the set and I have started several "back" subsets including American Beauty (60% complete), Cycle (50% complete) and Honest Long Cut (35% complete).
Thanks for the thread! I am always glad to hear how much other collectors enjoy this set...

Leon - Can you clone the Walsh for me and send me a copy? - I just love that card!

and Peter I do have a copy of the no stats in SGC 30 which is the best I will ever own... I have seen a total of 18 sell in the last twenty+ years. Some possibly more than once. I would guess that maybe 40-50 exist. Maybe someone else on the board has better numbers than I do, but I think I am pretty close...

Ed,
My numbers are pretty close...I have 21 sales in the last 18 years...out of those, 6 are resales...cards that sold more than once.

I think there are about 50 Hoblitzell no stats out there which means there are hopefully some to be "found".

hey Josh,

do you have prices that the cards sold for? Just wondering, as I will have to one day complete this set.

Ed, does this mean you have a Hobi "no stats"? I wonder how many are out there.

Default My fave!

http://www.sgccardregistry.com/set.a...4&userset=3598

I have about 300 maybe 320...
Mine is a complete basic set (plus all front variations) as I some times think I won't care about the back variations...then I get a couple and want to find a full master set

I have most of them slabbed at the link above here, and will likely continue with a raw set too. I probably have 100 dupes, but a few guys I have 3-4 of.
No debating about raw versus slabbed here...I will just build more sets

This is my favorite set of all. I like all grades, high or low. I hope to see more posts here!

Default T205

T205s are my favorites. Been collecting these for about 12-15 years and never really paid much attention to the backs though that may change. Tried to purchase higher end cards though this was not always feasible. Have about 120 cards with some dupes. Never really tried to complete the set but I may work on that in the future. Happy collecting! My goldies (and others) may be viewed at http://www.imageevent.com/puregold.
