What did they do to the base? It looked green / now looks brownish.

Did they just strip/sand off the green paint? Or maybe it wasn't really green before, and perhaps an illusion?

Yep, the base was originally wood colored (I wanted it to look like the day the Giants re'cd them in June of 1916) and someone painted it green, like someone said, maybe Fred, maybe someone since. But yah he removed the green paint, or 98% of it, and the rest is magic.

I can not recommend this place enough. He really takes pride in his work and it obviously shows...Net54er Mike recommended him.
