Matt,

Do you just collect signed index cards and cuts or how are you displaying your signatures? Where did you find the Pat Collins? Any chance you have any direction for me to find a decent one?

Bryan

I have all of my Murderers Row autographs on business card cuts except for Tony Lazzeri, which is a blue ink full 3x5 index card. I've acquired most of them either through eBay or sports auction sites (Collins was from Hunt Auctoins), and the Lazzeri coming from Jim Stinson.

What's your Lazzeri look like?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

Here is my Lazzeri...also got mine from Jim Stinson. Very nice guy and really helped me out. Please let me know if you come across a decent Collins signature! Thanks

My autograph holy grail would be Anne Frank. Someone found a Frank signed Christmas card in a European antiques store a few years back, a card signed to a friend.

Interestingly, the Franks and many Jews in Germany celebrated Christmas, as it was essentially a national holiday and they were German. Sort of like people in the US wearing green and having a green beer on St. Patricks Day even though they are not Irish, Irish-descendant or Catholic. In her diary, she writes about exchanging Christmas presents in their hideout.

I'm not Jewish, but loved her book and transcribed for a local Jewish center letters from WWII era German Jews, some letter writers who escaped in time to England and the US and some who died in concentration camps. So it's all poignant and interesting to me.

The only 3 names on my list this year are Sam Breadon, Branch Rickey (that will complete my 34 Cardinals), and Danny Whelan to complete my 1960 Pirates. The first two are pretty easy, but a nice looking Whelan that's not on a basketball seems to be pretty tough.
