Please check out my books on baseball history. They include the bio of star second baseman Dots Miller. A book featuring 20 Moonlight Graham players who got into just one game. Another with 13 players who were with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the regular season, but never played a game. There's also one about 27 baseball families, as well as a day-by-day look at the worst team in Pittsburgh Pirates history. All five can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/John-D...hor/B0DH87Q2DS |

Glad that you're not after the 1889 Indy cards. I'm not sure if anyone else is either. I'm going to start looking into this more and see how it can come about.

Call it hoarding or call it collecting, but either way, I think that what you're doing is uncool.

How is that any different from any other item up for auction? |

It's because other people might want that card for their sets or subsets and can't get it because the person has bought every one they could get their hands on. Same goes for the T206 Titus. Just uncool, I think, not that it isn't perfectly legal within their rights to do so, just that it is also within my rights to say what I think.

May I ask how much the seller asked for them?

There are some very rare and desirable players among what you found. That find is an excellent start to an Old Judge collection! Congrats!

Very cool find, Ted B. California Brown is an easy card, unless you want that pose. I think you should just collect what you like. I think it's just fine to collect n172 by player, and no problem at all if folks post that they disagree with that collecting style. Bottom line, if you want the card, keep bidding until they stop...
