Was there yesterday, as usual regretting spending the $5 for parking...show really blows if you are interested in tobacco cards. Bill B is the only person with any inventory who actually sells cards. A couple other dealers had some, but most are the ones they have had for 10 years in their cases.

All the graders are there so that is helpful if that's your goal, also several auction houses displaying their goodies.

+1

Had a good conversation with Bill, and enjoyed getting to hold and look closely at the Collins-McCarthy find from Mile High. Seeing their offering, as well as that of Memory Lane was probably the highlight of the show for me.

As usual though, I was disappointed that I couldn't find anything to buy when I walked in ready to spend, spend, spend.

Is it hard to buy because there is not a good selection or is it dealers with price points above market?

Traded a few T206 commons for a T205 Matty that I've wanted for a while. Other than that, not much selection for the T card collector.

On a side note, I went to the PSA table to submit 2 SGC cards for bump/crossover, 2 PSA for review/bump and 1 raw card for grading. I had to fill out 3 different invoices because it was 3 different service levels. OK. A little annoying but no problem. When I asked about combining the return shipping into one order, completely understanding that they would be returned at the estimated turnaround time of the longest service, I was told that they could not do that due to "limited space" at the grading facility. What a joke.

Default East Coast National

I did the National 2 weeks ago which was outstanding for dealers and collectors---back to Portland Maine now in the card shop---I had a customer come in today from Conn.---He was at the White Plains show and said very few collecters walking around thur.---Loaded with dealers--needless to say some with high prices---but I thought this show would suffer after the National. Anyway hope it picks up for everyone. Don
