The only CJs I have ever held have been the ones I have had forever. They are all from the same place, and have been together since they were originally collected. So, they all have the same type and amount of wear. They all look extremely similar in condition and color.
I think it is interesting that a different person who actively collects and gets cards from lots of different places is more aware of the subtle differences that can exist within a set. Just an observation.
