Hi-
Who is the Harvard player? I have it, but I always assumed it was a generic player.

Default Generic cards featuring real players

I'd say the E91 cards are good examples.

Ted - that's exactly the opposite of what I was asking about , but also very interesting. There are a few exceptions in that set - the Ed Reulbach is one of the best Reulbach images in my opinion.

Hey Scott

The most "notable" image in the E91 set is that of Walter Johnson.

Not only it does not resemble him, they show him as a Southpaw.

However, what is even more mysterious is that (I believe) it is the
only E-card of Johnson.

Have you figured why that is so ?

I don't know Ted, the E91 Johnson looks like a reasonable likeness to me, albeit naive, but we're talking E91 here. Also, Johnson isn't really shown as any paw as his right arm is cut off. I do get your point though, as I've always thought it looked wrong.

Please share re lack of E-issue Walt's.

My one and only E91 is Johnson, with a great diamond stamp cut right through the chest. I bought a collection probably 25 years ago now. T, D and E cards, some postcards and a bunch of non-sport cards. Everything had been punched, either with a diamond or a square. Belonged to two brothers and that was their way of knowing which card belonged to which.
