If your in Texas then the cards are there... Just have to find them

Well first, you need to find a woman who rides horses for a living (particularly English).
Second, attend all horse shows she rides in.
Third, ask everyone who sits near or even remotely close to you if they have baseball cards.
Fourth, find the people who do have cards then ask to see if you can look at their cards.
Lastly, offer them money for cards.

(Works well if you live in the middle of no where in Oklahoma )

Default Horse Shows

I have attended a lot of horse shows all over Texas and have yet to run into anyone who had baseball cards or wanted to talk about them. I have a lot of them but either brought them with me or bought them elsewhere. I have have been to Oklahoma a few times but failed to ask anyone about baseball cards while there. If I get back I will give it a try :-)

Enjoyed your story

Do you know Roger Neufeldt ?

I'd think there would be a good amount of Mantles in OK. Obviously I guess a person needs to use your ingenuity to find them.
I wonder how many there are in Commerce?

I know "Dime Box" as an expression for cheap cards and I know there is a city in Texas as well called this. I referred to the cheap cards "Dime Box" expression only because you sent me a PM with pictures of two 52' Mantles and other priceless Mantles (right after I showed my Mantles on the thread).... I figured your "Dime Box" comment was belittling my Mantles because in comparison to yours they really are just nickels and dimes hahah. I guess I misunderstood. Now I realize your just an avid Mantle collector like me and you were just showing me your Mantle treasures.

By the way the '52 PSA 8(oc) is insane. You definitely have a drool worthy Mantle collection...

Jose, I have always been somewhat nonplussed with 61Ts in general. But that Mantle just changed my mind.
