Default Quick prewar card question?

I hope this is ok to ask this in this forum. If not let me know. I was browsing ebay tonight after some inspiration from this board and noticed a 1940 play ball #1 Joe Dimaggio in auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251217679824...84.m1438.l2649

Picture is very blurry and not very clear, was wondering if any professionals would give their two cents to let me know if what i am looking at is real or not. Hopefully there is enough info and someone can let me know, I am a complete rookie when it comes to anything pre 1948.

Thanks in advance!

I would be nervous with that DiMaggio. Hard to tell from the image.

Even if it's real, the scan is too blury. There might be all kinds of damage not shown, like a crease or scratch on his face. There a re many PB DiMaggios out there, I'd just be patient.

Thanks for the comments. I am on the lookout for a nice prewar card to jumpstart my new tiny niche. Maybe one new card a month. Then I can see where it goes and if I catch the bug, and start having my pre-war set really take off!
