The '54 Dan Dee Mickey Mantle was my "Holy Grail" at the beginning of this year. A nice, clean, centered mid-grade copy had eluded me for years. Then, in late Feb. of this year, a beautiful PSA 5 was offered up on eBay by PWCC. I won that auction and the white whale was harpooned! But.....
 a week ago this puppy showed up on eBay and the insane collector in me couldn't resist.  This is not as nice as the one from Feb., but this one was also cheaper. Thanks for not judging, as I'm sure some of you here understand this sickness.

So it begins. Here are some of the first additions to my HOF collection. As I've mentioned in another thread, I'm trying to collect one unique looking. contemporary card of every HOFer (including execs, etc.). Not the most original idea but it is / will be fun regardless! I'm up to 6 of nearly 300! Woot.
Eddie in his RC looks like he is about to kill someone after striking out while Hoyt looks possessed in his 54 topps. I like the cheesy dual tone of 75 topps so had to go for Yount's RC.
