Jeff,

cards like that are a little tougher to judge value on.. and after offering you 3500 blindly...I offered you $10K for it.. after doing more research to find out what you paid on it when you bought it... I guess you forgot to mention that though

but thanks for throwing in your 2 cents...

Except you admitted later that you tried to steal it from me. I guess you forgot that part.

I don't blame him. After you put it back together correctly, it doesn't look so great.

Default overpaying for a card for a set

I can relate to overpaying for a card that I thought I needed for a set. Earlier this summer a T213-1 Huggins port went to auction and I had not seen one offered before, so I just kept bidding until the other guy stopped.

The next day I looked on this board and a few people were saying..."Who paid 4-5x for that Huggins port?...What's that all about?" etc. The very next auction had a T213-1 Huggins port in it. Good luck with your collections.

This is the exhumed body of Cy Seymour. Thank you for honoring my likeness with your back run. I am typing this from an internet cafe near my gravesite in Albany. It may seem strange, but I am truly a ghost. Cannot rest until I get control of my fastball!

As for my card, there will be more Red Hindu's in my throwing pose... there will be more, I say...
THERE WILL BE MOOOOOOOOOORE!!!!!!!!

It's me, again. The problem is that your bid was too low. That is why you did not win the card. Plus, do not use max bids because the other bidder will keep bidding against you. You must use a straight bid.

Next time, place a straight bid for
TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!

Jeff wtf are you talking about.. I never admitted trying to steal anything for you... you are insane my man.

as a buyer... I will try to get a "good" or at least fair market value for any card I buy.. that's just being smart...

but in your language that's called "lifting" or "stealing"... my offer of $10K on your card was a fair offer..

and why are we even talking about this? that was like a year ago? dude your nuts

Jamie, you're slimy. I just wanted to make sure that the four people left on the board who were unaware of this knew it.

Jamie, I'm not a thief, I try not to silme cards away from people for ridiculous prices and I'm not a liar. I suspect that makes me unqualified to be liked by you but so be it.

And I'm in my 40s. I'm not an internet tough guy. Just someone who doesn't like scumbags in my hobby.
