There are about half a dozen short prints, but they are pretty easy to find. I think Koufax and Mays are 2 of them, but they are still readily available on Ebay and affordable. The set is easy to put together and won't cost much

My 1964 Topps Giants Mantle just came in and this Kaline came with it. Also my first 1961 Golden Press.

Eugene---that card shows a lot of character and tough love. Bob Costas used to carry a Mantle card with him everywhere he went....in his wallet.

Al - That's funny; mentioned Costas and his dogeared Mantle card in a post here last year and someone informed that he had upgraded the card to pristine examples several times since the original story came out. Guess he can afford it pretty easily.

Correct me if I'm wrong but was the Mantle card Costas carried around in his wallet a 1958 Topps AS card? I thought I saw that on an interviews with him on the Ken Burns Baseball documentary.
