I think it is an original. I have a beautiful reproduction of this item and I have to believe that anyone who would go to the trouble of distressing the piece and placing it in an antique frame and offering it to Goodwill would not be offering a fake to the public.
Just my 2 cents. Hope it goes for a nice price because the cause is a good one. tbob
