A really beautiful W600 Rossman....thanks for posting it.

However, I'm not sure I understand...."not listed".

My catalog has both Rossman W600 cards listed....Cleveland (1906) and Detroit (1907).

Best regards,

Ted Z

I am going by the listing in the 2011 Vintage BB Standard Catalog. Could you please tell me of your source regarding no Detroit Rossman in the W600 set ?

I'm not questioning this, as I have never seen such a W600 Rossman. But, the only W600 in my collection is Matty; therefore, I am certainly no expert on
these cabinet cards.

Incidently, thanks for posting the Rose Postcard of Rossman....a pretty card.

Ted,

It was not listed in my old Beckett Alphabetical guide, it was known and listed in the W600 set however. I just stated that in the event someone was using the alphabetical guide.

Thanks Scott for clarifying.

Are you aware of a W600 Rossman with Detroit ?

Thanks for posting your Briggs Rossman. Your E97 identifies him with Detroit. But, his E96 has him with Cleveland. Both of these Candy sets were issued circa 1909-10.
This is very strange, since Rossman was traded from Cleveland to Detroit in December 1906.

Yea I've seen some weird things from the candy issues. (Bob Wood's e103 is another odd one) I'm sorta glad this one worked in my favor since I can use the E96 of Rossman for his Cleveland card rather than a W600.

Jack

Great, I'm glad the E96 Rossman works out in your favor. Speaking of Candy card errors....the E97 (Briggs) card of Cy Young (Boston) actually pictures Irv Young.

Perhaps a Net54er has this card and will post it here.
