I consider the 1910 COUPON cards as another T-brand of the T206 family.

The identical T206 fronts (with BROWN captions)....the stylistic design of their backs that is identical to the AMERICAN BEAUTY,
BROAD LEAF, CYCLE and DRUM backs......and, their (circa Spring/Summer) 1910 issue date indicates to me that these cards are
indeed T206's.

Other collectors may differ, and that's their prerogative.

Best regards,

TED Z

No card scans to offer (of course, I have a T206 Piedmont at home) but Rossman is an interesting player. A good hitter who protected Crawford and Cobb during the Tigers' run from 1907 to 1909, he suffered from the yips, ala Steve Blass, Steve Sax and a young Dale Murphy, though his particular brand would cause him to freeze with the ball, which probably led to the end of his career. He died in an insane asylum in the 1940s. Stories like his are the reason I really enjoy collecting the monster. These days, our heroes are a little too antiseptic for me....

Ted,

For what it’s worth, I consider your assertion that 1910 Coupon cards are part of the T206 set to be a valid starting point for a meaningful discussion. While I have very little experience with the Monster, the image of several backs that you posted stands on its own merit, in my humble (and admittedly inexperienced) opinion.

Best Regards,

Eric

I really appreciate your opinion regarding the 1910 COUPON cards.

Many on this forum disagree with my premise....as we have had several discussions on this subject.

Thanks and best regards,

TED Z
