Most of the common Exhibit Ruths (1921, 1926-29 PC, 1927, 1928, 1935) can be had for less than $1000 around VG condition, they each come up for auction a few times a year and are some great looking cards.

ungraded '33 WWG yellow or red portraits - you can find these for well under a grand with nice eye appeal.

I paid just over $500 for this beauty. You don't see them very often though. But there are Ruths you can get on a budget if you're patient enough.

Thanks for replies. What about '35 Goudeys, mid-grade? Wise buy or too common? I do like the red, and Maranville also on card....

I like the '35 Goudey of him and picked this one up off our BST for $200. For me it's a plus as it is a cool miscut...

I would rather have The Babe as a Yankee, well, really as a BoSox but that's another matter entirely.

I wish they made a Braves card where it was just the Babe. I don't like that he shares the card.
