Thanks for replies. What about '35 Goudeys, mid-grade? Wise buy or too common? I do like the red, and Maranville also on card....

You should be able to pick up a decent shape for under $1000 I would think.

I've always been a huge fan of the 1921 Exhibits and 1926-29 Exhibits (pose) of Ruth. I also think the 1926 Spalding Champions offers good value for a nice image. Finally, the 1933 Blue Bird is a really nice card with the famous 1933 Goudy image.
