Anyone ever seen a Mordecai Brown signed card? He lived pretty long after his career ended but I've never heard of one.
A Plank signed 1914 CJ would be incredible. Last edited by packs; 08-29-2012 at 12:48 PM. |

I have not, maybe Paul would know. Any signed CJ looks awesome. Great looking set.

Years ago I bought ARod/Ichiro multi signed cards from Gar that I am incredibly skeptical of.
CJ's are neat. Would love the Hooper on Pauls site. he has been trying to pry loose my Rousch and Marquard unsuccessfuly for years |

When I first got the signed WaJo, I sent a scan to Hank Thomas (Johnson's grandson). His response was:
"Fabulous card! I'm not sure I've ever seen a card signed by him before, other than a signed T-3 I saw at the HOF a few years ago. Thanks for sharing it." So, apparently there is a signed T3 out there, though I've never seen one. Perhaps one day I'll be able to sift through the HOFs collection of signed cards. Wouldn't that be something!? I would have to agree that the Lajoie signed Goudey is the ultimate signed baseball card. But there are a lot of really exciting ones out there. I would love to own the T206 Lajoie from Morey's collection, copied below. I might even part with my WaJo or CYoung for it, because I love the Morey provenance...

Top 3 are from Gar. These are the ones I am skeptical of and your opinions are welcome. Sorry for poor contrast Bottom is not for contrast as it is a more contemporary Ichiro but my favorite signed Japanese card. I got Matsui in person and Ichiro through Mill Creek. It is a 1998 BBM card. Never seen another signed. Would be better in Kanji but I am still very happy with it ![]() Last edited by bender07; 08-29-2012 at 07:49 PM. |

+ 1 for Giambi being a great signer. He was the only Yankee you could count on at spring training. Always funny.

Never seen a sign Brown baseball card. I think the closest I've seen is a signed Brown business card maybe, if memory serves....

Brown lived until 1948 so he had almost 30 years to sign at least one T206. Wonder if there is one out there.

Signed T210 Jackson- would be worth a TON of cash, and doesn't exist.
Also a W600 Addie Joss |

Thanks for the clarifications Paul. Yeah the Morey collection is unbelievable, I really enjoyed reading it a few times on your site.
Little shameless plug, if you guys love hearing about signed T206's and stories behind them, go to T206Collector.com, and read the Morey interview about how he got signed T206's in person from the likes of Ty Cobb and others. It's a great link to the past.
