I'm no expert (but it did stay at a .....)
Paige and Ryan were my last two. I picked up Shag and Foster early on. Sid Smith was near the end also - just because it looks too much like Ritter.

Default T206 SLer's

I don't think any of the T206 SLer's would be considered rare. Perhaps some of the Hindu SLer's might be in that range depending on your definition of rare. There are a handful of Sler's that are tougher to find for sure, but I would say they are probably barely scarce at best, with Piedmont/OM backs.

I don't equate tough and rare. This is a tough thread, not a rare thread.

The last five that I acquired were

Sid Smith (actually Syd)
Woodie Thornton
Frank Shaughnessy
Carlos Smith
George Paige

Interestingly the first one I acquired was Helm, who in my opinion is seen much less frequently than some of the others. Therefore order of acquisition may well be totally meaningless.

My Top 5 (in no particular order):

Ed Foster
Perry Lipe
J. Ross Helm
Gordon Hickman
Roy Ellam

It's tough to limit it to just 5. I don't think Shaughnessy is that tough, but he is very expensive, well sought after and you will need to pay for him, but he is available.

Default Frank Shaughnessy

Shaughnessy is tougher than most T206 Southern Leaguer's simply because of "supply vs demand". Besides T206 collectors,
Frank has a following with Canadian collectors.

Frank is in the Canadian BB and FB Hall of Fames and the McGill Univ. Sports HOF.
