Wow, some really awesome stuff, wish we had a "Like" button!

Just like my baseball card focus on primarily Post-War, so is my other passion...I collect classic cars from 1955 to 1973. My collection is rather varied, from muscle cars to VW's...I love them all. There has been some tough decisions in my past...a certain card, or a certain car. The cars usually win out on big purchases, you can't drive a baseball card!

My collection -

1956 Chevrolet Nomad
1960 Chevrolet Corvette
1963 Ford Falcon Sprint
1964 VW Bus
1965 Ford Mustang
1967 Ford Mustang
1967 Ford F-250
1968 MG Midget
1968 VW Bus
1971 VW Bus
1971 VW Super Beetle
1971 VW Super Beetle Convertable
1971 Ford F-100
1973 Chevrolet Corvette
1973 VW Karman Ghia

Some random pictures -

Those are some great cars, John. I had a Falcon in college. It was a 64 and not nearly as cool as yours. I would love to collect cars, but I only have the basement to keep my stuff.

I've been involved with a lot of different hobbies over the years. Some more than others. I think of those as dormant collecting interests, that might revive if something nice cam my way affordably.

Currently my non trading card interests are Stamps US, German, and especially
the official stamps of the US from 1873 into the 1880's. B
Bicycles, especially team used aero bikes from the 80's until just before 2000 when the crazy stuff was all banned. Plus any associated stuff like the helmets etc.

Like you Steve, I've collected a lot of different things as items came my way. I've collected Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. Aside from the sports cards, I've collected a lot of non-sports cards. I picked up multiple British tobacco sets mostly from the 1930's and 1940's.

My other main collection at the moment is music. Both the physical media (CDs and records) and vintage equipment. I have several 1970's receivers and turntables. These take up too much room and will probably have to be reduced to just one set to listen to. I've posted one example.

What I'd like to see is some of your turntables! I'm a great fan of 1970's Gerrard, Dual and Thorens turntables.

Here's a Dual table I recently picked up.

A 1204!? I can't even find specs on that one quickly.

I looked hard at getting a Dual 1219 in the very early 1970's but in the end opted for a Gerrard SL95B with a Shure M91ED cartridge.

Incidentally, are you aware of Doctor Dual?

Doctor Dual
