This is the primary reason (but one of many) why I quit practicing law. The practice of law = mental prostitution; you bill by the hour, you must work to get paid, you are often treated like crap/a commodity, and shaky client loyalty. Lucrative, but tough life sometimes.

The card (1954 Topps Ernie Banks) I won from Heritage on Dec 8th, got to me on Dec 27th.

I waited until day 23 to send an e-mail requesting a status update, and the boilerplate response I got from Heritage cited "increased pressure on delivery services nationwide." That kind of deflection is annoying, because increased pressure on carriers like FedEx doesn't prevent Heritage from packing up the order, generating a shipping label, and getting it in FedEx's hands. |
