Al Simmons paper and solid gold lifetime passes.
I've always been drawn to the MLB lifetime passes. Just picked up these two issued to Al Simmons.
The paper passes didn't survive in as many numbers as the metal passes. The gold pass for Simmons is actually made of 10 karat gold. If you like these kind of passes, there are many more on the CooperstownExpert.com site on this page. Players' passes there include Simmons, Sliding Billy Hamilton, Bobby Wallace, Stan Coveleski, Joe Sewell, Ned Garver,Harvey Haddix, Dick Williams, Dave Parker, Minnie Minoso, Joe Cronin, and George Boomer Scott. Also there are letters from Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, and Fred Clarke thanking Ford Frick for their passes.
