I don't know Ted, the E91 Johnson looks like a reasonable likeness to me, albeit naive, but we're talking E91 here. Also, Johnson isn't really shown as any paw as his right arm is cut off. I do get your point though, as I've always thought it looked wrong.
Please share re lack of E-issue Walt's. My one and only E91 is Johnson, with a great diamond stamp cut right through the chest. I bought a collection probably 25 years ago now. T, D and E cards, some postcards and a bunch of non-sport cards. Everything had been punched, either with a diamond or a square. Belonged to two brothers and that was their way of knowing which card belonged to which.
