1981 Charlotte O's Game
I thought I would post an item today that most of you have never seen. While not directly a Brooks Robinson
or Orioles item, it's still pretty interesting. Today's item is a Charlotte O's board game from 1981. Charlotte was an Orioles minor league affiliate from 1976-1988. I don't have a lot of details surrounding the distribution, but I believe it was either a giveaway or more likely sold in the team store. My only reasoning that it might be a giveaway is that along with a set of O's cards was a set of Orlando Twins cards. Unfortunately, it was issued in 1981 and not 1980, so no Cal Ripken Jr card. Some future Orioles included with the game are Storm Davis, John Shelby and Vic Rodriguez.
