Up for your consideration is an extremely rare program and score card from the June 18th 1926 matchup between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees.
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig both powered their Yankees past the White Sox by combining for 4 hits and 3 runs batted in. Hall of fame pitcher Herb Pennock collected his 12th win of the early season on his way to 23. This program is jam packed with 9 Different Hall Of Fame players including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs, Waite Hoyt, Herb Pennock, Eddie Collins, Red Faber, Ted Lyons, Ray Schalk. Scored beautifully in pencil, it was obvious that the fan took great pride in his work. The final score appears on the front cover lending further credence to this programs provinance. A beautiful example of a 1926 White Sox program. $300 SOLD
