Any reason that the 1914 Cracker Jack set is so much scarcer than the 1915? |

The 1914's only came in boxes of Cracker Jack, while the 1915's could be ordered as a complete set directly from the company. |

Were the 1914 cards directly put into the boxes without any covering? Does that account for the stains? |

Both appear stained, but if you ordered the 15's from the factory they would be spotless, hence more clean ones survived. All 14's were in contact with the caramel. |

The fact that factory sets were available to the consurmer in 1915 allows for a good number of high grade specimens from that year. |

The main reason for the large number of high grade 15s is due to a huge find of these cards in the late 80s that were in very high grade. |
