If it were up to me, Whitaker, Evans, Murphy and Parker would be there already.
With out the players strike of '81, Murphy would already be there. When he came up for consideration 400 HR was still the line to cross for more-or-less automatic admission. He finished his career with 398. He certainly would have hit a couple over that month or so of missed games in '81. So, he'd be in there without a doubt. Sad. |

I think the 75 Keith Hernandez and Fred Lynn, and maybe a 1970 Vida Blue could find a place in there too.

It is a shame that Garvey, Parker, Murphy and Hernandez aren't in while lesser players like Blyleven, Simmons, Sutter and Morris are.
