Wow...................mine are not near as exciting as some. I like coaching my son's Under 11 soccer team and playing my drums (alone or jamming with my "band"). My "band", a group of older married guys who get together when our wives let us. LOL! You know weekend musicians............you know the type.

Unfortunately, I only have time and money to do one hobby/recreation at a time now. So, it's baseball cards (and even with just that one I'm pretty limited), so everything else has pretty much been put on the back burner for awhile. With a 3rd child nearly here, I don't foresee expanding my free time for these hobbies for awhile.

Thats funny, my kids dragged out the old SEGA Genesis game system and proceeded to pummle me silly with a chair while playing WWF (wrestling you know). It has been a long time since we played that, how do they still remember the moves? The graphics are horrible, but its fun nevertheless.

I just got into it myself - I had wanted to try it and I studied it on my own for about 3 months, right as the market was tanking. I read up on Zecco.com (GREAT site to buy stocks and even better for 1st time buyers). I purchased a large quantity of Citigroup when the whole AIG fiasco was at it's height in the media (as AIG went down, so did the other players). I purchased it at a staggering $0.97 cents a share. It's now at $3.86 (as of 2:05 PM). I did the same thing with Ambac (I studied the dropping stocks and used a site that you can play for fun using mock-monies and see how my predicted stocks did -they did GREAT! Hehehe - thanks Pete - I also purchased Ambac at $0.81 cents a share - it's picked up to $1.44 right now.

My next purchase will be Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac (all three companies are too large to fail - it's a risk, but definitely a calculated risk that I know was going to pay off). I went to the NYSE website and looked at ALL 100+ pages of stock listings and went after the banking businesses (what goes up, must go down, and vice versa). I then looked at the 52 week high and low.

Fannie Mae at the bottom end is about $0.76 cents a share, high is about $0.88 cents - but look at the 52 week high; no way in hell that's going to stay there. Even if it goes up to only $5.00 a share...and my buy price is around $0.80...and I purchase 1000 shares....that's $4,200.00 pure profit.

PS - I'm also looking at Colonial Banc Group. I WAS going to buy ALY at under a dollar, but didn't pull the trigger - now look where it's at...I was not happy about that one hehehe
