Claude Rossman played 1st base for Cleveland, Detroit, and very briefly for St Louis (AL). He had a great 1907 World Series for Detroit batting .474 (in a losing cause........
Detrot 0 vs. the Cubs 4). Check this out....Hughie Jennings reportedly was one of the first managers to fine players. Rossman was one of the first to be fined $50 by Jennings for hitting a home run when he was called on to bunt (ref. SABR). Rossman's Major League career ended Sept 3, 1909. This fact is most likely the reason as to why Rossman was printed with only five T206 backs (includes SC 350 fac. 30). Rossman does not exist with AMERICAN BEAUTY 350, BROAD LEAF 350, CAROLINA BRIGHTS, CYCLE 350, DRUM, El PRINCIPE de GALES, OLD MILL, POLAR BEAR or TOLSTOI. Are there any more Candy, Tobacco (or other products) featuring cards of Rossman......let's see some ? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() E96 ![]() ![]() TED Z |
