IMO crawford is one of the all-time greats of the game. there is always debate here who does not belong in the HALL OF FAME and i don't think anyone has ever listed him as one who should not be in. he was by all accounts a 5 tool player. crawford last played in the majors in 1917 and was elected to the hall in 1957 by the dreaded veterens comitee,21 years after it opened! such lesser players as home run baker,rabbit maranville,fred clarke,schalk,bresnahan,& the trio of t/e/c. were already in.
