Going though some auctions right now and my eyes went right to the bottom border on this one. Any thoughts?

Looking at other versions of the card, it appears they were just cropped incredibly tight. Although you raise an interesting issue; since the card would get graded if the entire coupon was cut off, if it was indeed trimmed at the bottom, how would they note that on the flip?

What would be better? Having a Coupon card that has been trimmed at the bottom or cutting off the coupon and having the card have a higher grade. I think most grading companies grade cards without coupons, and do not grade down for that (Zeenuts, D381, etc..)

I don't know what is worth more in the open market.....

but I personally would bid higher on a card that has the coupon attached (even if it is trimmed as you mention/show).

its just a lot cooler with the coupon.
