ebay contact rules

Hey Everyone,

I've gotten a couple of contact from guys on this forum, trying to use the ebay 'contact member' function.

Ebay has restrictions now and I CANNOT use the 'respond' button to reply back. The only way to respond is if you do NOT hide your email address when you contact me.

I haven't tried selling on ebay in about 9 months, so what I found when I ran some auctions last week:

1. Auctions turn 'private' automatically when dollar amount hits $200
2. As a seller, ebay forbids me to contact ANY bidder once the auction starts - this SUX
3. Ebay randomly will not let you contact certain members, even if they are NOT involved in a transaction with you.
4. Ebay seems to have a hard-on for members, as I know people who CAN contact others on ebay.
