Default Mastronet lot

Posted By: Al

Hello all,
Is it my imagination, or did this lot come up for discussion on this board a few months ago? I know it isn't vintage, but I'm trying to remember the "issues" that were raised. I couldn't find it in the archives.

"The Wide World of Sports" Autographed 8" x 10" Photo Collection (1,500)

Also, on a related note: How do you react to (or interpret) a lot that shows up repeatedly at the same auction house? I know this can happen for a variety of reasons, but do you tend to believe that 1) the bidder didn't pay, 2) there was something wrong with the lot and it was returned, 3) the lot has been cherry picked and relisted, or 4) something else.

Thanks,
Al

This may be a different lot than the one with damage, but it sold for $5999 (pre-juice). In their August auction, this same lot sold for around $2800. I thought it would sell for less since it had been listed (at least once) before.
