Pinkerton Cabinets

I do not know much about these and have never even held one in my hand. I was hoping some of the board members could tell me a little about them - i.e. have they ever been reproduced, is the photo pretty sharp, etc. I am trying to figure out how to verify the authenticity of some Pinkerton's that have apparently been removed from their mounts (assuming they all came mounted).
