I just picked up a really nice Ty Cobb(LL) version fairly inexpensive. It does have some considerable amount of foxing on front part of pin. Does anyone know if foxing can be removed from the pin without actually damaging pin it any more? |

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is "foxing"? |

Brown spots on pin from aging usually caused by high humidity and temperature extremes where these pins were stored. |

to remove the foxing........in many of them, it's under the celluloid covering the top of the pin......... |
