I recently acquired some 1941 Play Ball cards that were glued in a scrapbook. I realize that soaking tobacco era cards seems to work fine, but I'm wondering if anybody has had success with Play Balls, particularly '41s. I do have a few '41s (from a different lot) that appear to have been soaked successfully (to remove tape) and have a faint bleach-like smell. Any ideas? |

Soak the entire page under regular tap water for a few hours. If it is a water-based glue, than the cards will float off. You can then dry them between 2 heavy books and a soft cloth. This will not work with tape. Dan. |
