Default Card ID help

Posted By: Rhett Yeakley

Just wondering if anybody had a card catalog handy and can tell me what year the following card is from, along with the card catalog designation. Made by the Schutter-Johnson Candy Co (same producers as the R332 set from 1935). Also interested to know if there were any "single-printed" cards in the set as the set of 25 was redeemable for a free mitt, rollerskates, or a wristwatch. Any help would be much appreciated.

Card #4 ("Strong Man") is shortprinted and quite valuable (several thousand dollars in top grade).

1933 or 1934 but I'd say 1933 is more likely.

...based on the old "what do you want to be when you grow up" question.

I'll post some scans of other cards if I feel more growd up in the morning...unless it's too far OT.

edited to echo MW....I have it down as 1933

..of course I'll defer to MW's expertise on the finer points.

I think 1933 is correct.

Thanks, yes the collect and non-sport books say 1930's as well. Pop got these out of packs so I know the approximate date. Dan
