I remember reading an article before the 2000 election that George W. has a collection of old tobacco cards. His interest in baseball is documented in his involvement with the Rangers. A google search comes up empty. If he does, my next question is does he own a Wagner? I'm sure he'd say that finding one would be easier than finding wmd. Thanks. |

My searches have always been very very fruitful: a few words to an old hymn unearthed the author and the tune and country of origin; "what is a tokoba****a" unearthed the correct spelling (tokobashira), meaning and significance; request to have a 15h century French song translated was complied with. Loads of stuff on early hockey. Reviews of my favorite early movies. |

I believe you are right about Bush and his T206 collection. I think he did give an interview that he had a massive T206 collection. But, unfortunately, none can be found now. |

Clinton wouldn't collect vintage cards, he is only in to the more modern era. Surprisingly although he can afford it, he steers clears of HOFers and instead only goes for promising rookies and journey(wo)men. |

I heard he only collects Hall of Famers that were voted in by a committee, not voted in by ballots. |

Bush is the latest in a long line of presidential card collectors. |

But the cards all turned out to be damaged, fakes and fogeries. It was a good experience for George and a bad buy for the purchasers. |

why would you expect Gov. Bush to suddenly break with form and tell the truth about his cards? Or, did God tell him to attack the card markets too? |

Bush has heard rumors that the legend of the t206 Wagner is not true. He has announced the formation of a committee to look into this and Haliburton will be award all contracts involved in getting to the bottom of why the Wagner card is so rare. |

Since I am a member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, I took the liberty of sending "W" an email and asking if he had a T206 collection. |
