Need Infformation About This Set ...

Found this card on eBay and went to my Beckett Almanac of Baseball Cards and Collectibles #3 (been away from collecting for a while) and it nothing on the set.

Just a some of my questions ...
Is there actually 200 cards as stated on the back?
What are commons, semi-stars, and stars going for?
Is this the only set Indianapolis Brewing Co. issued?
What stars are in the set?

I believe this card is a 1916 M101-4 Sporting News card, and yes, there are 200 cards in the set. I'd check eBay's completed auctions for a current value. Hope this helps, Keith

I believe that if you log on, start a post, then click on "Formatted text signature" and delete the link, the problem is gone.

Indianapolis Brewing cards are actually from 1916, and it's checklist coincides with the M101-4 Sporting News.

There are about 22 or so different regional companies that bought these "Sporting News" blanked back sets of 200 and put their own advertising on them. I think they are neat to collect and am pretty sure (knock on wood) that I have a tab on the last one I need for a complete back set......some idiot outbid me recently and paid about $800.00 for a $50 card that would have done it for me......but I will get the last laugh ....regards all....
