As an Astros fan and a vintage card collector (2 things which don't connect) I had to pick some vintage teams as my favorites - ended up being the Tigers and Pirates, re-inforced after reading "Cobb" by Stump and "Honus Wagner" by DeValeria. The 1909 World Series must really have been something to witness.

I've seen that kind of back damage on otherwise nice (sharp cornered) cards, and it highly correlates with inauthenticity.
