** Introducing, The Fowler Collection; An extraordinary tribute to one of baseball’s greatest teams, eras, and players - the Honus Wagner lead Pittsburgh Pirates
****************** QUICK BACKGOUND STORY... Gross Vintage Baseball is proud to introduce The Fowler Collection—a remarkable, lifelong assemblage of early 1900s Pittsburgh Pirates cards, memorabilia, and rare artifacts, with a special focus on the legendary Honus Wagner. Carefully curated over decades by collector Jon Fowler (and Net54 member) and supported by his wonderful family, this collection reflects a deep love for the history and spirit of the game. We had the pleasure of recently meeting Jon, and it was clear from the start that he’s a true baseball historian. His passion for the Pirates’ golden era—rich in grit, glory, and charm—is contagious, and his knowledge of the team is truly inspiring. We’re incredibly grateful that Jon has chosen to partner with Gross Vintage Baseball to make this special collection available to fellow collectors. Over the coming months, we’ll be offering a selection of these rare and beautiful items, each with a story to tell. But this is more than just a collection—it’s a story about family. Jon has made the heartfelt decision to share these treasures with the world in support of his wife’s dream: to open a bakery and bring her exceptional talents to their community. Selling the collection not only allows these historic pieces to find new welcoming homes, but it also helps provide the resources to turn her dream into reality. As I told Jon, many of us collect because we’re drawn to the charm, the nostalgia, and the stories behind the players and teams we love. Jon’s reason for parting with his collection is just as meaningful—rooted in love, purpose, and family. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be sharing more about Jon’s journey and the incredible items in the Fowler Collection. We are truly honored to help bring these pieces of baseball history to our collector community. Stay tuned—and get ready to step into one of the richest eras in baseball through the eyes of a true collector. ********** And so, let's lead with an amazing opportunity to add one of the game's true icons in a truly scarce issue - The 1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel Honus Wagner; PSA 3 PSA has only graded 35 higher of this issue for Wagner.
