Default Cy Young Photo - help needed

Any Cy Young experts out there?

I'm trying to identify the team that Cy is posing with in this photo. Appears to be a local town team but why is Cy there and what uniform is he wearing? Who is the other player wearing a different uniform in front of Cy? What year might this be?

Guessing it's a Cleveland area team based on the 'C' logo and the fact that Cy has ties to Cleveland such as managing the Cleveland Green Sox of the Federal League in 1913.

But that's just a guess, anyone else have thoughts?

Thanks!

Sorry, this probably belongs in the Memorabilia page - please feel free to move if needed.

No worries on it being here. Can't help with the team though. Nice pic of him.

Okay Jeff I’ll play. It’s the Chattanooga Lookouts 1913. The guy to the right of Cy is Kid Elberfeld, who was trying to form a quality team down there. The kid in front of Cy and Kid is wearing a uniform from Blue Mountain College which was located just down the road in northern Mississippi. Cy and Kid were buds as evidenced by this photo from their later years.

Is any of this true? I have no idea.

You might want to focus your research on Cy Young's connection with Coshocton, Ohio, which is nearby to his adopted hometown of Newcomerstown.
Cy spent a lot of time in Coshocton, and my money would be on that image being a town team from there.

Unfortunately no, but appreciate the theory!

(definitely not Elberfeld and Blue Mountain College was an all female school at the time)
